5 Outfits to Wear This Week That Don’t Include Jeans

You may have separation anxiety, but your jeans won’t. They will be happy you let them rest for a day.

I am very guilty of wearing only jeans, every day. I have darker washes, lighter washes, mostly cropped, because the shops don’t cater to tall people, and all of them are high-waist. The other day I realised that I haven’t worn anything but jeans for the part 2 weeks. Can you imagine? This is my uniform – jeans and t-shirt. .

So I have decided to compile this list of things you can wear this week instead of your favourite jeans. Everything can be styled with a simple white t-shirt like this one. Not only that, but everything is (mostly) office-appropriate.

Monday: Wide-legged pants

It’s not a secret that I have a thing for culottes and wide-legged, ‘palazzo’, pants. I love the look of them, they are super light and great for office wear in the summer. Throw a simple white t-shirt on it and you have your Monday outfit ready. I love palazzo pants with high heels – when the pants are so long that they completely cover your shoes and you can just see the pointy toe when walking. I love the look of that.

Tuesday: Tailored pants

Tailored pants have been my favourite office wear for the past 2 years. I love light, linen tailored pants in the summer. To get from the subway to the office I walk quite a bit under the sun in the summer months and I just generally prefer pants over skirts. My favourite part of this type of pants is that they can be dressed up and down. With a blazer and a pair of loafers you are ready for a business meeting. Or throw a leather jacket and a pair of Adidas Superstars and you are ready for everyday errands.

Wednesday: Midi skirt

We got to the middle of the week, so why not have some fun? The Gucci skirt below excites me beyond measure. Throw a your comfy white t-shirt and a pair of mules and call it a day.

Thursday: Dungarees

Time to make it even more fun with a pair of dungarees or a pinafore. Although pinafores are generally too short for the office space, they are still super cute and comfortable. And there are always pockets. Put the same Adidas Superstars from Tuesday on and you are ready for brunch with colleagues or friends.

Friday: Dress

TGIF, am I right? At the end of the week, wear your strappy dress with a white t-shirt under it and a pair of oxford shoes. This way, at the end of the day you can take off the t-shirt and go straight for drinks with friends and still look fire. Don’t forget your lipstick

    1. Thank you, Shirley! x

  1. Great post! I’m definitely guilty of wearing jeans every day, especially because the weather in the UK is usually too cold to wear anything else! I do love dungarees though and need to pick up some nice trousers for summer xx

    1. Thanks for commenting, babe xx Dungarees are super cute always, but I am yet to find ones I don’t look like a giant child in them haha

  2. Love this post! I’m so guilty of always reaching for my jeans when I’m going out so it’s nice to have some new options! I really like the look of tailored trousers and keep seeing them in shops and wanting to get some but I really don’t think they’ll suit my body shape! I need to take the plunge and try some on next time I’m out shopping though as they look so nice!

    1. Definitely try them on! I found that I prefer high-waisted ones (which doesn’t surprise me), as they do look muuuch better and give and elongate the body! Thanks for commenting xx

  3. This is pretty much my wardrobe! I find it hard to find jean that fit so I only have a few pairs. GIve me a pair of culottes any day!

    1. I am so jealous that you don’t fall for the jeans-every-day lifestyle!haha Thanks for commenting, lovely xx

  4. I used to wear jeans all the time and it used to be my uniform as well. Nowadays, I try to switch it up especially during the spring/summer. I love culottes, they’ve been my go-to lately. Great picks btw, love that Gucci skirt.

  5. Love this idea! I’m not a big fan of jeans myself and have only just started wearing them again after about 4 years but it’s so easy for people to get stuck in a rut with what they are wearing.
