The 4 Shoe Styles You Must Have for Spring and Summer

Everyone wants a giant shoe closet with all types of shoes in every colour imaginable, but let’s face it, not all of us can afford that. However, there are some essentials that everyone must have and I have managed to compile them to only 4 categories. If you have one from each category, you would be good to go for the whole of Spring and Summer – heat waves and spring showers. I find these to be staples that can be invested in, so I have added a few Guccis and Aquazzuras in the mix, just to spruce things up a bit.

Let me know in the comment section below if you think that I have missed any shoe style, or if you just want to add a great pair of shoes, which you think everyone should have.

The Everyday Trainers

I believe that a nice pair of leather trainers can really go a long way. You can wear them in any weather and they look good with almost anything. They are comfortable, they keep your feet dry and don’t slip around. Isn’t that what you want from an everyday shoe?

The Glam Flats

These are the flat heroes when you want to look put together, but don’t want to wear heels. These look good with casual or dressier pants, dresses, skirts, and give an all-around more feminine look to an outfit.

The ‘Business in the Front’ Shoes

In the past year or two mules have been everywhere and they are still going strong. Although I was super against them in the beginning, brands started coming out with such styles that the though of hospital is not the first thing to come to my mind. I am adding these as essentials, because you can’t always wear sandals. These are just the next best thing, perfect for the office or just a smarter outfit during a heat wave. I fell in love with the blush pink Aquazzura ones, thanks to Amelia Liana, and found this great option in ASOS. No exactly the same, but it does convey the same feeling. The win here is that the dupe has a sturdier heel which is much needed when walking in Sofia.

The ‘It’s Too Hot and my Feet are Sweaty’ Shoes

When the temperature outside hits the 30s is when I show my toes. A little fact about me: I hate toes. They are the ugliest thing in the human body and I have never seen anyone with cute toes. Mine are all long and skinny and they just look ridiculous. But there is a time when even I don’t care and let my toes loose and wear sandals and slides.
