Review: Bioten Revitalise My Lips! Lipbalm
February 28, 2018
My name is Diana and I am a lip balm hoarder. I can whip one out at any situation, just like the women in laundry detergent commercials do.
Okay, not really. I have shamefully spent the last month with no handbag lip balm. I had to use a Maybelline lip gloss which resides in the back pocket of my bag. Not very convenient during the windy January weather.
I have, however, recently finished my beloved Nivea Lip Butter in Vanilla & Macadamia (absolutely divine) and went to buy a replacement for it. Along with it, I snatched me a new handbag lip balm – the Bioten Revitalise my lips! lip balm.
And I have my opinion on it, of course.
For less than $2, you get 2.8 grams of product and it says that it has citrus fruit complex. While the citrus scent is there, I am not a big fan of it. Maybe I shouldn’t have gotten the yellow one, but I am drawn to that colour like a bee. That being said, the citrus scent is not my thing. They are almost always way too artificial and I am not down with that. I must say, Bioten did a pretty good job here, but do not expect too much.
The citrus scent aside, this lip balm has a very waxy texture. This is great for colder weather, as it does protect your lips, but it is not moisturising at all. Not only that, but it has a slight waxy taste, too.
Not a big fan of this product, to be fair. But if you prefer waxy lip balms – this could be for you.
I will be going back to my favourite Eucerin Lip Aktiv.
Let me know if you have ever tried it, or tell me your favourite lip balm in the comment section below.
