May Recap: What I Loved and What I Didn’t
June 3, 2018
May felt super hectic. Work has been absolutely horrendous and the only good thing this month was the weather, occasionally. I don’t have many favourites this month, so this post is going to be quite short and sweet.
I decided to switch up my newsletter. If you haven’t subscribed yet, it is now on a monthly basis, just so I don’t spam your inboxes every time I post. I am also working on some exciting things that will be available only through my newsletter!
Iliza Shlesinger. I found her Netflix specials (because stand up comedy is pretty much the only thing I watch on Netflix now) and I am shook. She is so funny, she does the greatest impressions, she is a feminist, and please, look at her wedding dress, that shit is amazing (photo taken from US Weekly).
Fenty Beauty Stunna lip paint in Uncensored. This was brought to me all the way from Valencia from one of my favourite humans, because I am one of those people who make other people bring them stuff which are not accessible in Bulgaria. However, I can say that this is the truest of truest red shades in the world. There is no undertone to it, it is not cold or warm, it is absolutely neutral and I finally truly understand why Rhianna says that this suits all skin tones.
Maybelline BrowDrama brow mascara. I got it near the end of the month, but I can say that it is a great product, as long as you use plyers to cut that weird oval ending. If you have shorter brow hairs, you need to cut it, as it will never coat them completely. However, once you cut that, the product stays put all day, it makes my brows look fuller and I can pretty much only use that when I don’t have a full face on.
Dove Derma Spa summer revived body lotion. Because I started wearing more white clothes, I realised that blending with my clothes is not a cute look, so I am venturing into the world of fake tan. This is the first tanning product I have ever used and I am putting it in my favourites mostly because I used it a lot. But I will save my opinion for a review post on it!
Lacalut Aktiv toothpaste. Is this weird adding it in here? It honestly changed the game. I have had issues with my gums for the longest time and I just got used to that until recently, when I tried out Lacalut. Nothing else helped me. This is the best, honestly.
This month was the month of the tiny cat-eye shaped sunnies trend. I bought two pairs off of Wish.com for about $2 each and I am obsessed. I am thinking of ordering some more in different colours.
GDPR. Honestly, if I see another email regarding privacy policies and GDPR, I am going to throw something. Although, the positive side of GDPR is that I got automatically unsubscribed just by not taking action on the email from too many newsletters for websites I haven’t visited for years (*ahem* the Sims 4 forum).
What did you like the most this past month?
