July recap: Favourites and Unfavourites

This time the recap is going up much more on time! This is because this time I am not burdened with exams or things that I need to prepare for out of the office. As I spent a lot of time at home studying and didn’t have much time to go out and find new products and things, this favourites post is going to be quite short and sweet.

So here goes. My favourites and unfavourites for the month of July!

General

I’m done with uni! I have been waiting for so long to be able to write this down in a favourites post! I am finally free, I have time to do stuff, without feeling guilt and pressure to prepare for the exams! It’s so liberating to take this massive thing off my shoulders! I’m still questioning whether I should apply for a master’s degree, but if I do, it would be next year. I need a break.

Brooklyn 9-9. Just the best series ever. I honestly didn’t expect to like it so much and I honestly feel an actual connection with Gina. Although, I do catch myself that I have more of Amy’s traits (of course, the shittiest ones) than I would like to admit.

Avocado. I’ve been getting more and more into avocado toast. I can honestly live off of this thing. I now regularly have avocado in the house and am always ready to make a little avocado mash with salt and pepper and toast some bread. I even found out that there is a place in Sofia dedicated to the Avocado and I am dying to go there ASAP.

Fashion:

I bought a pair of dark blue culotte trousers from Zara and they are the best thing in the world. And were around €10! Such a steal. So comfortable for the summer, but can still be worn in autumn, as the material is quite thick. I just love them. I never thought I would be into culottes and mules, but here I am, living my best auntie life. Also, I can’t find them on their website, but here’s a pair of affordable culottes I like and a pair of super expensive culottes I like.

This t-shirt. Like I said in my instagram caption – this tee just represents me. Enough said.

Beauty:

Lumene Valo Glow Reveal moisturizer. I enjoy this a lot. It smells divine, so if you don’t buy it, at least try to give it a whiff somewhere. This is the only citrus-y thing I have ever enjoyed, because it is not an in-your-face citrus scent, it is just the perfect amount of citrus-y. Also, it’s a good, light moisturizer, it’s perfect for the scorching hot weather! I do use it at night and on the days when I know I’m not going out (there is no SPF in it and I like layering SPF a lot), but it’s so good!

Elemis Superfood facial wash. This is so nice and it feels sooo good on the skin, it doesn’t dry me out and it cleans my face perfectly, but the herbal scent is killing me. As you may have read here, I mention that the Emma Hardie primer smells herbal-y and I hate that. Still using the both products and loving the effect, though, but the scent is honestly killing me.

Disappointments:

People in general. Throwing some friendship realness here, but guys, please remember that people have lives outside of your friendship. And I don’t mean that in a bad way. Just stop assuming that something happened because someone considers you to be just an option. If you think a friend did you wrong in any way, instead of completely ignoring them until the day you feel like talking to them and pretending that nothing happened, you can doublecheck with them if the thing that happened has anything to do with you in general. Because a time will come when you feel okay with the situation you made up in your head, but they won’t be fine with your drama anymore.

Just saying.
