I have been absent for quite some time (I am quite active on Instagram, though). Now that winter is approaching, there is just so little time in the day with nice lighting, and I have so many good ideas which need that good lighting. Anyway. I recently realised that I have become a fan of Elemis (thanks to Lydia Elise Millen-Gordon, of course) so I decided to actually talk about them a bit more. And more specifically their facial washes.
I have tried the 2 most iconic facial washes by Elemis – the Superfood facial wash, the Dynamic resurfacing facial wash, as well as the Pro-radiance cream cleanser which is technically not a facial wash, but it takes make up off so there’s that you know how you need 3 examples on a test to add ‘etc.’ after them? Yeah…
Just so no one gets their panties in a twist, I will get 20% off, too. I will not make any money, though.
The Superfood one I started using about 5 or 6 months ago and I still have plenty in the tube, which is nice. At £25 a piece I want it to last right before the expiration date I’m kidding. It would be nice, though. At night I do a double sometimes triple cleanse and this takes off all the makeup I may have missed with my micellar water, without leaving my skin dry or tight. Of course, I always add moisturiser afterwards.
However, I had some trouble getting used to the scent. It is lovely and herbal but I realised that I am super sensitive to scents in the mornings and I needed a week or two to get used to it. Now I use it morning and night and would recommend it. It is totally worth it if you can afford it, but I am sure that there is a dupe for a lower price tag, as it isn’t anything revolutionising (let me know in the comments of a nice budget-friendly facial wash). It just feels great using it.
On the other hand, I am sure that there is nothing quite like the Dynamic Resurfacing facial wash. The way it leaves my skin is just like nothing else. I would expect that, for the £32.50 price tag it comes with. It provides a gentle exfoliation through non-abrasive ingredients, like an extract from Larch tree. It really leaves the skin renewed and that is the greatest feeling in the world.
Feelunique say that this is “An essential for oily skin that is prone to blemishes and breakouts” however I think it is suitable for every skin type. It is neither drying, nor mattifying, it is just great for blemish-prone skin. The Brazilian Babassu Oil really helps keep moisture levels in check. It is just a great product, you need to try it out for yourselves.
